Who we are

Quotes and orders

Quotes are based on the material and instructions you provide and are fixed once given, unless the scope changes. A quote becomes an order when you confirm it in writing.

Prices are per word unless agreed otherwise. Repeated content is discounted rather than billed twice.

Your responsibilities

You confirm that you have the right to send us the material and to have it translated, and that it does not infringe any third-party right or law.

You agree to provide reference material or terminology where it exists, and to answer reasonable queries so we can deliver accurate work.

Delivery and revisions

We deliver by the agreed date in the agreed format.

Tell us about any complaint in writing as soon as possible, and at the latest ten working days after delivery. We will then correct or replace the work within a reasonable time at no charge. If we cannot reasonably do so, we will reduce the price instead. After ten working days the work is treated as accepted, which does not affect any right you have under Dutch law.

Intellectual property

On full payment, the rights in the delivered translation transfer to you. Until payment, we retain those rights. Any terminology base we build for you is yours.

Confidentiality

We keep your material confidential and, on request, sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving unpublished material. See the privacy statement for how personal data is handled.

Liability

We carry out the work with due professional care. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount invoiced, excluding VAT, for the delivered part of the order the claim relates to.

In all cases our liability is limited to a maximum of EUR 2,500 per event or series of connected events.

We are not liable for other forms of loss, including indirect loss, consequential loss, business interruption, loss caused by delay, and lost profit.

Where the source text is ambiguous, and you have not answered a query about it, we are not liable for a reading that turns out not to be the one you intended.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch law, including liability for intent or deliberate recklessness.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court of the Rechtbank Noord-Holland, the Netherlands.
