The challenge

Enterprise security documentation carries terminology that cannot drift. The same capabilities, policies and feature names recur across overviews, training material and suite documentation, and a Dutch reader evaluating the platform notices immediately when they do not match. Much of the material was storyboard copy, where a translation has to sit inside a frame and a spoken timing rather than simply be accurate.

What we did

A terminology base was kept for the account, so a term introduced in one deliverable read identically in the next. Storyboard segments were written to fit their frames rather than allowed to expand, and the register was held to what an enterprise IT audience expects instead of consumer marketing tone.

The result

One consistent Dutch terminology set carried across every deliverable in the series, by the same linguist throughout.
